E.coli strain HM605 is a strain of the pathovar adherent-invasive Escherichia coli (AIEC), which is associated with Crohn's disease. The genome sequence of HM605 will facilitate the study and understanding of the molecular basis for AIEC interaction with the gut mucosa during Crohn's disease.
